Eats in Perth
Like any millennial, I'm a sucker for a good breakfast (and lunch and dinner and dessert and look, to be honest I don't mind a good snack either...) There was a point last year where I was going out for breakfast at least 2 times per week. Then it occurred to me that I was haemorrhaging money and it had to stop... HOWEVER, these are some of my favourite spots to grab a bite to eat in Perth.
Typika, Claremont
L: Buttermilk Pancakes
R: Caramelised Beef Ribs.
Typika is one of my first picks for a quick Sunday breakfast. It's walking distance from my house and does a pretty good feed! The menu has a massive variety that is available all day so you can eat pancakes for lunch if you want (I 110% have!) Like anywhere, it's definitely a little exy. FYI, they don't do split billing which is a bummer.
Good For: Breakfast, Brunch, Coffee
My Picks: Porridge, Huevos Rancheros (add avocado!), Spiced Beef Benedict.
Menu Here
Someday Coffee Co, Floreat
L: Carrot Hummus and Avocado Toast & Avocado Sauerkraut Topped Up Toast
R: Shit Company
Massive fan of this one! If you're going on the weekend I'd recommend getting there early or risk facing a bit of a wait for a table... It's only a lil cafe. When getting brunch, not matter where you go, I definitely recommend taking someone someone who'll actually converse with you.
Good For: Breakfast, Brunch, Coffee
My Picks: Corn Fritters, Avocado, Pea & Mint Smash.
Milk Belly, Fremantle
L: Awesome Company
R: Continental & The Ruben (Not my photo obvi)
This is one of our favourite places to go to lunch during uni (most definitely have skipped a lecture for this...) Milk Belly does some FINE toasties. They also do a bangin' milkshake too. 110% recommend.
Good For: Breakfast, Lunch, Coffee, Snacks, Sweets
My Picks: The Ruben Toastie, Hawaiian Toastie (I see you pineapple haters - there's no room for you here.)
Academy, Claremont
Both: Avocado Bruschetta
(I tend to opt for the 'Avocado Smash,' now #JustMillennialThings)
Another Sunday Morning go-to. Walking distance, check. Coffee, check. Avo on toast, check. Big fan of anything here (minus the mushrooms because they have truffle on them and, ew.)
Core Cider, Perth Hills
L: Baked Brie Board
R: Cider Tasting Tray
I'm not really a big cider fan so Core didn't really tickle my pickle in that way (awks because it's a cider house...) However, the food is bloody incredible. I've never eaten something more amazing than their baked brie with crusty bread. Heck.
Fully recommend checking out any of these places if you love food as much as I do!
